I’ve been a loyal customer of Eueni Salon for more than 10 years, ever since their very first outlet right across the street, but my experience on November 1st was truly disappointing. I went there just to get my eyebrows done, as usual. The day before (on October 31st), I had already done a proper clean-up from another salon as part of my bridal skincare routine. But while doing my eyebrows, the girl (with curly hair) kept commenting that I had oily skin and “so many whiteheads and blackheads,” saying things like “It seems like you haven’t had a clean-up recently.” She kept repeating it again and again, and I was honestly furious inside. I kept quiet for a while, but finally said, “I actually had a clean-up just yesterday.” The moment I said that, she went completely silent, clearly realizing how wrong and baseless her comments were. She didn’t mention clean-ups again after that. It’s just not nice or pleasant to hear such remarks when you’ve come in for a simple eyebrow service. I don’t go to a salon expecting to have an existential crisis about my skin. I go to relax and feel refreshed. Customers don’t need unnecessary negativity or unsolicited opinions about their appearance, especially when they haven’t asked for any advice. One thing that you need to realize is that customers are not dumb or stupid, they are more likely to be intelligent than you think. I understand staff may try to promote services, but this is not the right way to do it. Please train your girls to communicate respectfully and with sensitivity. Every customer who walks in might already be stressed, busy, or dealing with something personal, the last thing they need is to be made to feel worse about themselves. After this experience, I’ve decided that this will be my last visit to Eueni. It’s truly sad because I’ve trusted this salon for over a decade, but I no longer feel comfortable or valued here.
