Riviera Resort

This hotel in Batticaloa was a very pleasant surprise. The room was perfect for our family of 5: we had a villa for 4 with a sofa bed, and there was ample space. The shower was great and there was a water boiler with tea and coffee in the room. Reception and service were extremely kind and helpful. I can only recommend this place. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The location was great. Everything else was terrible. Poor management and terrible guest experience. When we booked online on their website it didn't state that these were container rooms which were miniscule. No hot water on the first day for showering. TV wasn't working throughout entire resort. Restaurant was the worst every order took 1hr 45 minutes to be served even frozen pre cooked items (fish fingers) took 1hr 40 minutes. Bed spreads were stained and had to be replaced. The rooms didn't have proper plumbing with all the shower water and basin sink water flowing out the room openly into the property. Srilanka is recovering from an economic challenge and businesses are struggling to rebuild we get that but there's no excuse for lack of passion for hospitality and sense of customer service. I would never ever stay here again. STAY AWAY.

Although this is a 2-star hotel, it gave us the feeling of staying in a 4-star property. The location and atmosphere were amazing, creating a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We loved the authentic Batticaloa traditional cuisine, which was delicious. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic, making us feel at home throughout our stay. Both the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Batticaloa.

If you are looking for a great meal in Batticaloa, look no further than Reveira. The food was amazingly good and exceeded all of our expectations. Beyond the delicious menu, the service is completely top-notch. Mr. Dinujan went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and his friendly, attentive service really stood out. I can't wait to come back!

A very good place for a peaceful and natural relaxation experience. The surroundings are calm and refreshing, perfect to unwind. The view is absolutely wow truly beautiful and worth visiting. The staff are amazing, very friendly and supportive, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
