Salt House

We had an incredible time! Great breakfast options, the yoga included and the staff members made great recommendations. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The bathroom was gorgeous with windows surrounded by tree and a private courtyard. The pool was great. Thank you for having us

I stayed for 3 nights and had a beautiful stay. The yoga shala was lovely, and the instructors were cheerful and professional. I especially enjoyed Aye’s class. The location was also great — just a few minutes’ walk to the beach. A fruit plate is served with breakfast, and the breakfasts were very filling and tasty. Guests can choose one item from the food menu and one drink. I was served a cold pancake once, but the Tropical Wonder smoothie was the best smoothie I’ve ever had. Loved it!

We spend 6 nights in this amazing hostel! The rooms were really clean and also the bathroom! The best part is the breakfast is so big and you can choose different things each day! Shavindi's service every morning was so good always with a smile! All the staff is nice and Aye the yoga teacher is incredible and very friendly! I hope we can come again!!

I am so happy I stopped to ask about staying here as I walked past. Little did I know that it would be far more than a place to stay. It was a place to meet other travellers, eat delicious food, surf the fun waves of this beautiful bay, be looked after by the kindest of staff and most of all to emerse myself into the incredible yoga available. I feel revived and stronger and I could not be more grateful to you all.

Salt Hiriketiya is an absolute vibe. From the moment you step in, there’s a sense of ease and energy that just works. They host some of the most interesting yoga sessions throughout the day—perfect whether you’re a beginner or just looking to unwind. The poolside setup with cozy bedding makes it ideal to relax and slow down. The café is a standout, serving truly scrumptious food. Don’t miss the sweet and savoury pancakes—they’re a must-try. What really elevates the experience is the staff—they are incredibly kind, warm, and just effortlessly cool. They make you feel at home while still keeping that laid-back beach vibe alive. The best part? You’re literally seconds away from the beach—wake up and walk straight into the ocean. Plus, it’s right in the hub, surrounded by great cafés and restaurants. Hiriketiya itself is a must-do—peaceful, charming, and one of the most calming spots in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting.
