Venus Bridle House - Matara

Our wedding was in August 2025, and I got my bridal Kandyan saree made by Salon Venus. Even though this review is a little late, I truly wanted to appreciate their amazing work. My Kandyan saree was absolutely beautiful — elegant, modern, and exactly what I had dreamed of. I received so many compliments on my wedding day, and everyone kept telling me how pretty the saree was. Thank you Salon Venus for making my dream bridal Kandyan come true and for being a part of one of the most special days of my life. Highly recommended 🤍

Very cheap and unprofessional I visited this salon on 3rd January for an ear piercing. I specifically asked the lady to keep some distance from my existing piercing(normal earring place), but she insisted that it had to be closer to the original earring position, even though I was not wearing earrings at the time. I also clearly mentioned my concern about developing bulb-like wounds if the piercing was done incorrectly I have seen before for others . She assured me it would be done properly, so I agreed. However, after the piercing was done, the earrings were not balanced and were placed at two different positions. When I pointed this out, she asked me to come back to correct it. Unfortunately, after this, it developed a bulb-like wound within three days at the pierced area. When I requested a refund due to this issue, the owner became very rude, refused to take responsibility, and blamed me by saying that I already knew I was prone to such wounds. Additionally, the salon did not even have the required cannula, which we had to purchase separately and come back again. The way the owner spoke was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The service quality, professionalism, and customer handling were extremely poor. If Had I read the Google reviews earlier, I would never have chosen this salon. I strongly do not recommend this place.

After a few months I wanted to write this review because many people asked me how my experience was with this salon venus. here it is, 👎I didn't feel any problem on the first day when I went to talk about the wedding with my mother. Everything happened peacefully. 👎A few days later I went back to pay the advance and fix the date. I did that and took a copy of my advance slip. 👎 Then as I remember 4 months later (August 2023) I went to discuss my saree, jewelry etc. But the surprising thing is that they don't remember about that booking and they don't have the original advance payment slip with them. I had my copy photos and then the owner rewrote the payment slip. 👎I don't know why I had these problems. Because I didn't see my wedding work with any desire. 👎When I went for a facial, I saw how irresponsible they were working. A servant was sitting on the floor working a bridal saree. Two or three children are running here and there stepping on a saree while eating cookies. I am very sad for the bride who owns that saree. Not a single bride would expect such a thing for her bridal saree. 👎 The next one is about the facial. I got 2 facials from them and one last gold facial was free. But there is no difference between their normal facial and gold facial. They lied to me they didn't put the gold pack on my face and I felt it was exactly the same as the previous facial. I'm not a baby at all. ( I got a hide video by using my selfie cam ) 👎The other thing is that it was really difficult to contact the owner 5 days before my wedding. When I call, they say she went on a trip. Just Imagine what a situation it is. 👎 On my wedding day, I asked for an extra flower for the best man while getting dressed. She agreed to give it. When I asked the salon before I left, one of the girls said there were no flowers. When I asked about the owner she said "Miss Nidi" can't wake her up now. 🔥😡 Even though I felt very angry, there was no argument because it was my big day. 👎I booked Goingaway. But it was also disappointing. All they did was change the dress, add lipstick and powder. That's it. They tried to do what easy for them ( specifically about hairstyle ) but I show my abjection. But you can't tell how ugly that lipstick is from the way it was applied. 👎Also, we ask for a coat flower (for the groom). Forget that too. In response to that, she said that coats flowers are now out of fashion. 👎Mom makeover, it's ugly too. God I was there too, then I said do it my way but trainee girls couldn’t. 👎My sister also dressed from them. There is one girl who does not know how to curl a short hair. That means they don't know how to handle the machine. I myself had to show her how to handle the curling toner. But she couldn't do it. 👎My final thought is that they took my wedding as a trial to train her new staff.. Before the group leave, she went to sleep.you won't be able to talk to her in any kind of emergency. After she leaves, there are only trainee girls. 👎I didn't get clothes from them, and I thank myself 10000% for that. But once I went to show my wedding saree to her she insult it alot. She wants us to dress as she likes. But I was stubborn at that point 😂 👎This is my experience throughout my wedding journey. So my request is to think deeply and take your decision. Not only that, but remember to take all the clothes you take with you. If you forget and ask later, there are no clothes. Please note that this review is not from a fake account. 😂😂😂😂

I’m quite disappointed with my recent visit to your salon for eyebrow threading. This was my first experience here, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. My eyebrows were not shaped neatly and looked uneven afterward. The staff seemed distracted and were talking during the service instead of focusing on their work, which felt unprofessional. Eyebrow threading is a basic service, so I expected better care and skill. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and ensures better training and attention to service quality in the future.

We visited this place from Weligama after finding it on Google, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. From the booking call to the actual service, everything was smooth and professional. The makeup and hairstyling were amazing, the staff was very friendly, and they did a wonderful job without any hassle. Service was quick, prices were reasonable, and the overall value was excellent. Highly recommended! They cater to both ladies and gents with a full range of salon services, and they also design and sew party frocks. The staff is multi-talented, skilled, and well-qualified.
