The hotel is great, but … First of all the hotel itself is a little bit old and AC in the room is pretty noisy but still OK. Everything is clean and well maintained. The service is awesome! All of the staff ist is going the extra mile for the guests. There is direct access to the beach, a huge pool area and a lot space with shadow in the garden. There is also Ayurveda , massage, … but I haven’t used that. The meals are great and prices for alcohol is fair (rest is all inclusive). So we really enjoyed our stay. Now to the “but”: The hotel seems to be mostly for German speaking guests and their preferences like sunbed reservation with the room number. No other restaurants or shops or similar in walking distance, you need to grab a TucTuc and hotel advises you to book one from them and no external ones. Great food but far away from real Sri Lankan food we got in many different hotels or restaurants (not spicy at all, only very specific SL meals, many western meals). We stayed a couple of days after a round trip and I really enjoyed relaxing here, but I missed walking through the city in the evening like we did in Galle or the great true Sri Lankan food we had in Gall, Colombo or Sigiriya for example. So TLDR: If you are fine with that I can strongly recommend booking this hotel!

I had a really bad experience at this hotel. The food was the worst part — it was extremely oily and salty, and not enjoyable at all. It felt like no care was taken in the preparation. I expected much better quality for the price. Definitely not recommended if you’re looking for clean, tasty food.

In ella it's hard to find good spa and I am really happy that my random Google Search ended with one of the best! I must say entire staff is very professional. I have taken deep tissue massage and it really helped me to reduce pain and added calming effect to body! So I would definitely recommend this anyone who is fan of Thai massage and will be visiting this spa on regular basis! My therapist (masseuse) was friendly and thoroughly professional in her work. The spa is nicely decorated, and cleanliness levels were top-notch. Will definitely love to visit again. Regards.

**Be Warned**. Booked 4 months in advance, then 5 days before we were due to arrive they announced that our rooms had been downgraded due to them overbooking, and to make it worse, we would have to change lower grade rooms midway through our 5 night stay. No apologies, just take it or leave it. If this is how they treat customers before they arrive hate to think what their attitude to customer service is like if you actually stayed there. I have cancelled my booking, would not trust them to honour bookings even when you have paid in full.

Too many things wrong with this place to list them all. No atmosphere no charm, no feel of sri lanka this could be in Germany. Ayurveda treatments are rushed and not all therapists are qualified. Location not desirable. Safe your money and how down to Taylor or Galle,so many better places with beautiful beaches,this was the worse vacation ever, and management doesn't care. Tiles around pool and dining area are so slippery and accident waiting to happen
