I had a wonderful experience at R Degrees Boutique Hotel & Spa. The hotel is beautifully located by the ocean, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. What truly makes this place special is the exceptional hospitality. Every staff member is warm, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. The food is delicious, the pool and spa are excellent, and every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. I highly recommend R Degrees to anyone looking for a relaxing beachfront getaway with outstanding service. I look forward to visiting again!

We spent a few days at R Degrees and had a lovely time over Christmas with family. We received a warm welcome, the rooms were spacious and very clean, and the food was delicious. The pool is lovely and overlooks the ocean, making it a perfect place to relax. The hotel also has a spa, where Mrs. Tharanga truly helps you unwind with her wonderful Ayurvedic massages. A big thank you to Mr. Sachin, the Manager, and his entire team for their excellent service and constant attention, as well as to the Chef de Cuisine. A special thank you to Devinda, who took great care of us at the restaurant. We will definitely be back soon.

Vacation nightmare turned into absolute paradise! We originally booked Citrus Hikkaduwa but were shocked by how bad the rooms were—completely tired, unclean, and terrible. Luckily, we got a refund from management and frantically checked Booking.com. We found R Degrees offering suites at a lower rate than Citrus, but after our rough start, we were super skeptical. When you first pull up, the entrance doesn't look like much—just a garage roller door. But the moment security guides you through a narrow gate into the elevated garden, your jaw drops. It is a total transformation. The Welcome: The hospitality here is genuine 5-star level. We were greeted with refreshing towels, welcome drinks, and an incredibly friendly team in a cozy reception area. Because we checked in late, the manager kindly gave us an extra discount and granted us a late check-out the next morning to make up for the lost time. The Suites: The rooms are massive and perfect for a family outing. The kids got a 3-bed suite on the ground floor, and we stayed in the first-floor suite. Both were incredibly spacious with private jacuzzis, living areas, and balconies. They even feature premium tech touches like Bluetooth speakers and table lamps with built-in wireless phone chargers. The Beach & Pool: The backyard is a masterpiece. It's a long, multi-level garden with a beautiful swimming pool, comfortable sleeper chairs, and a hammock right near the sand. Because the garden sits higher than the beach level, it feels entirely private from the shore. We literally felt like we had our own private beach for a whole day! The Food: We stayed out in the garden until dinner was ready and had an unforgettable 5-course meal. It started with bread toast, chicken salad, and soup, leading into the mains—we ordered the Penne Pasta with mutton and the seafood fried rice. We finished with a rich chocolate mousse, ice cream, and a fruit platter. The presentation was gorgeous and so filling my wife couldn't even finish her dessert! We personally thanked the chef and found out he used to be at the Earl's Regency Hotel in Kandy, which explains why the food is so elite. Verdict: After a long morning walk on a serene beach and a great breakfast, we sadly had to check out. We spent the entire drive home discussing when we can come back with friends. I have zero hesitations recommending R Degrees—an exceptional hidden gem!

All the facilities were exceptionally well maintained, making the stay comfortable and stress-free. What truly stood out was the hospitality. The staff were genuinely friendly, supportive, and courteous throughout. A special mention goes to Mr. Thilak, Sachin, Shihan, and Prarthana for going above and beyond to ensure everything was just right. The atmosphere was simply amazing serene, refreshing, and filled with good vibes. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.
