Colombo Eco Lodge, Wellness & Yoga retreat

Had an amazing one-week stay at Colombo Eco Lodge! The place is extremely clean, situated in a quiet area, with a beautiful garden and plants all over. Access to Colombo is relatively easy (~40min-1h), there are local buses every 5-10 minutes. It was a peaceful oasis to return to & rest from the hustle of the city. I worked remotely during my stay, there is a cozy common area and the host was happy to accommodate that. Wi-Fi was decent with fluctuations, however my Mobitel sim had good coverage. (~20MBPS) Last but not least, the host: Sampath is a true talent in the field of tourism! Very friendly & communicative, paying great attention to details and our needs, and flexible in a way of always ensuring we have the best possible experience. Great bonus is that he & his wife are amazing cooks, and were delighted to teach us about Sri Lankan food and its incredible health benefits. I would happily return here anytime. Book this place, you are not going to regret it! ☺️

One of the nicest, cleanest and welcoming places to stay in Sri Lanka. The owners are so sweet and helpful and great cooks of traditional Lankan food. The rooms are so beautiful and well maintained with wonderful balconies. Good WiFi, hot water and air conditioning. From the airport it's a shorter ride than going into Colombo proper. A supermarket and many restaurants are very nearby. Bus #177 will take you into central Colombo for 86 rupees. I had a wonderful stay here!

The best place we've stayed at in Sri Lanka! Me and my friend both loved our stay at Colombo Eco Lodge. Sampath is an excellent host who really goes the extra mile for his guests. The place is spotless, welcoming, and has everything one needs. The food is delicious and I loved that we also got tea and coffee (both in our room and served fresh!). The beds are very comfortable - one of our best sleeps in Sri Lanka! The neighbourhood is a bit further from the city centre, but it's easy to reach it by a direct bus, and it also makes it better for sleeping.

We stayed at Colombo Eco Lodge for two nights and can warmly recommend this place. We were absolutely delighted with our stay. The rooms are beautiful and very thoughtfully designed. The host created and designed everything himself, and you can really feel the love and care that went into every detail. From the first second we felt comfortable and at home. The cleanliness was truly exceptional. Our room, the bathroom, and all the common areas were perfectly clean – something we really appreciated. The host was always available and responded quickly whenever we had questions. He helped us with everything we needed and made our stay very easy and enjoyable. We had both breakfast and dinner at the lodge, and the food was absolutely delicious. He kindly adapted to our wishes and prepared traditional Sri Lankan dishes for us, which made the experience even more special. There is also a wonderful rooftop terrace where you can do yoga in the morning or simply enjoy the beautiful view over Colombo. Considering everything you get, the price is exceptionally good. Our room had air conditioning, a lovely balcony, and all the other spaces in the lodge are also beautifully designed. The host and his whole family are incredibly warm and welcoming. Staying here felt like a very authentic and lovely local experience for us. We would come back anytime and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Colombo. Sampath is the most caring and kind host - he waits for each arrival to welcome them in and radiates genuine heart. The breakfast was so delicious with a variety of dishes all designed to be healthy, nourishing, and locally sourced. The rooms are all beautiful, spacious and clean. There are a selection of shops and supermarkets just up the road too. Wonderful energy in this place! The best place to stay ❤️
